 <title>Searching for 0νββ decay with CUORE and CUPID</title>

 <abstract>The Cryogenic Underground Observatory for Rare Events (CUORE) is a neutrinoless double beta ($0\nu\beta\beta$) decay experiment employing bolometric detectors that has reached the one-tonne scale. CUORE consists of an array of 988 TeO$_2$ crystals acting as both the source and the detector for the search of $0\nu\beta\beta$ decay in 206 kg of $^{130}$Te. CUORE has been taking physics data since 2017, achieving the 2 tonne-year exposure of TeO$_2$ in early 2023. The collected high exposure derived in the most sensitive search for 0νββ decay search in 130Te to date, achieving world-leading limits on the half-life for this process. While CUORE continues to accumulate exposure, CUPID, CUORE's upgrade, is being planned.

The CUORE Upgrade with Particle IDentification (CUPID), is a tonne-scale neutrinoless double-beta decay experiment that will be able to probe the neutrino mass Inverted Ordering region. CUPID will consist of 1500 Li$_2$MoO$_4$ crystals with a total mass of 250 kg of 100Mo, the isotope of interest, employing a dual readout of both bolometer and scintillating detectors. CUPID’s scientific program will be built upon the experience from previous experiments CUORE, CUPID-Mo, and CUPID-0, supported by the detailed background model studies from those experiments. In this talk, we will present the latest results from CUORE's newest data release, and the current developments towards the construction of CUPID and its projected performance and projected sensitivity.</abstract>
