Towards the extraction of transport and thermodynamic coefficients for the quark gluon plasma!
Abstract content
The major discoveries in the first five years at RHIC are being followed up with a broad, quantitative study of the fundamental properties of the quark gluon plasma. The scaling properties of azimuthal anisotropy and the nuclear modification factor (RAA) provides a compelling probe for such properties. I will discuss and present evidence for these remarkable scaling properties and give estimates of the transport and thermodynamic coefficients derived from them.
