Description
With the upcoming gravitational wave observatories, more precise theoretical predictions for the detected waveforms of gravitational waves are necessary. One important ingredient to achieve higher precision is the classical two-body potential of binary systems. In this talk I will illustrate how one can utilize modern scattering amplitudes methods in QFT to extract classical physics from quantum amplitudes. In particular, I will present our recent application of this new paradigm to the case of spinning Black Holes and the very first computation of the corresponding classical gravitational potential at the third post-minkowskian order.
