Description
The exponential expansion of the early Universe driven by inflation leaves it in a cold, empty state. When inflation ends, the energy density of the inflaton field must then be transfered into visible and dark matter and radiation. This epoch is known as reheating, and can proceed gently (adiabatically) or explosively (non-adiabatically). In this talk I will discuss the impact that the dynamics of reheating can have in cosmological observables. I will focus on the updated constraints on inflation derived from the observation of the Cosmic Microwave Background by Bicep/Keck, and constraints on light dark relics deduced from the matter power spectrum reconstructed from the Lyman-alpha forest.
