 \nLattice QCD already offers the possibility of extracting three-hadron sc
 attering quantities from first principles. In the last few years\, signifi
 cant progress has been made in developing and applying the three-body form
 alism. We are now able to treat physically relevant systems of three meson
 s\, including resonances\, bound states and decays. I will review the stat
 us of the approach and comment on recent applications to lattice QCD data 
 for systems of three pions and kaons at maximal isospin.\n\nhttps://indico
