 to)\nIn the development of some new particle detectors\, photomultiplier t
 ubes are used. For this\, you must know the functionality\, the operation 
 parameters\, and the characteristics of the PMT. We report the planning\, 
 design\, construction and testing of an experimental system for the study 
 and characterization of photomultiplier tubes type Emi 9954B. The experime
 ntal system consists of five modules: the voltage distributor\, the discri
 minator circuit\, the veto-detectors\, the dark box\, and the photomultipl
 ier that is studied. We present technical details of the design and constr
 uction\, and the preliminary results of the characterization and study of
