The Fermilab experimental neutrino physics program

Speakers

  • Dr. George MORFIN

Primary authors

Description

The current and planned neutrino physics experiments at Fermilab constitute a rich program aimed at investigating every aspect of the neutrino. The experimental design and results of the neutrino oscillation experiments MiniBooNE and MINOS, currently running, will be described. The techniques and goals of the next generation oscillation experiment, NOvA will be presented. Finally, two experiments to understand how low-energy neutrinos interact with nuclei, SciBooNE and MINERvA, will be described and the importance of their results for oscillation physics and the general understanding of weak interactions will be emphasized.
