<description>The Division of Particles and Fields of the Mexican Physical Society (DPyC-SMF) organizes every year the Annual Meeting (RADPyC). This space is dedicated mainly for the exposure of results of graduate students and young researchers working in high energy physics and includes some review talks on the hot topics of the field.

 <abstract>En la actualidad se está construyendo el complejo de aceleradores NICA (Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility) en las instalaciones del laboratorio JINR (Joint Institute for Nuclear Research) en la ciudad de Dubna, Rusia. Con el objetivo general de estudiar las propiedades de la materia nuclear en una region con alta densidad bariónica, en este complejo se instalarán 3 detectores: BM@N (Baryonic Matter at Nuclotron), Spin Physics Detector (SPD) y Multi-purpose detector (MPD). Particularmente el experimento MPD tiene el objetivo de estudiar el llamado diagrama de fase de la Cromodinámica Cuántica (QCD) mediante colisiones de núcleos de elementos pesados a altas energías. 

Desde mediados del año 2016 se conformó un grupo de estudiantes y profesores de instituciones mexicanas (MEXnICA) que están interesados en incorporarse al experimento MPD-NICA. En esta charla se mostrarán los aspectos generales del MPD así como la propuesta teórico-experimental del grupo MEXnICA para su participación en el proyecto NICA del JINR.</abstract>
