Description
By studying photon-induced processes at the LHC one can study a wide
variety of physics topics in high energy nuclear and particle physics,
expanding in novel ways the physics program using pp and AA collisions.
Photon-induced processes allow us to study the proton and nuclear
structure as well as to search for physics beyond the standard model. In
this talk, a review of recent photon-induced physics results at the LHC
will be presented. The prospects for future studies using the Run 2 data
from the LHC and beyond will also be discussed.
