Abstract content

In this contribution, we report on the multiplicity dependence of strange and multi- strange hadron production in pp collisions at √sNN = 5.02 TeV with the ALICE experiment. An enhanced production of strange and multi-strange hadrons relative to pions is observed for pp and p-Pb collisions where a large charged-particle multiplicity density is reached. The results in small systems are compared to measurements in Pb-Pb collisions at √sNN = 2.76 TeV and to the predictions from QCD-inspired Monte Carlo event generators.
